Well, it's almost been one week since our little boy turned five. Such a huge milestone! His party was a big success. After his really long Clark Kent phase and his obsession with Superman, he has since moved on to Spongebob. He doesn't quite have the same attachment to the Sponge as he did to his other Clark Kent persona, but more of a comical relief with Spongebob Squarepants. I do have to admit, it is hilarious. So, we surprised him and his friends with a special guest appearance by Mr. Squarepants himself.
The look on his face was priceless! The party turned in to quite a bash and even the adults had a great time! There was a Squidbert cake and many other Bikini Bottom friend decorations like a very large Patrick balloon (he's my favorite).
On Lukas's actual birthday we opened family gifts (not like he needed more because his friends showered him with some pretty cool stuff) and we all went out to Lukas's favorite food.....yup sushi! It was awesome. And like every good party, you get some ice cream and then fall asleep while your parents get to party it up for the rest of the night in the restaurant with the sushi chefs and eat your custom designed dessert!
Our baby is five.....not so baby anymore but he sure sleeps like one. What a great kid he's become!
